non-digital type poster
For this project, I created a typographic poster based on a Shakespeare quote, focusing on exploring the emotion of the text through primarily non-digital typography. Instead of just placing the quote into a clean layout, I physically wrote it onto distressed, burnt pages from the script the line comes from. I wanted the material itself to reflect the drama and intensity of Shakespeare’s language, so the faded paper and scorched edges help communicate that feeling visually. By combining hand-rendered type with manipulated script pages, I was able to turn the quote into something more immersive and expressive, letting the texture and physical process add meaning to the words.
